TMS Freight Bill Audit and Payment
State-of-the-Art Contract/Rate Management System
The HighJump Transportation Management System (TMS) tackles the freight bill pay and audit process by incorporating a state-of-the-art contract/rate management system. Carrier contracts may be quickly setup detailing all the information necessary to determine the correct rate for a freight movement. The HighJump rating engine is mode-independent, allowing the user to set up parcel, less than truckload (LTL), truckload, air freight, ocean and rail contracts. Additional charges (accessorials) may be setup by the user and then assigned to the entire contract or down to specific geographic lane levels. Accessorials may be calculated automatically such as fuel surcharge and stop charges or they may be determined based on the services selected for the given movement.
The HighJump Transportation Management system freight bill payment module streamlines the in-house freight payment process. The majority of freight bills are automatically validated and approved for payment. Those failing validation are easily audited with the users’ accessibility to all shipment data within the HighJump TMS.
This functionality virtually eliminates manual pre-audits, automates the match and pay process, automatically applies general ledger account codes, and provides accurate transportation cost accruals and reporting capabilities.
HighJump TMS freight bill and audit features include:
- Authorized payment records
- Receipt of freight charges from carrier
- Automatic general ledger account application based on user’s criteria
- Automatic and manual shipment validation and audit
- Authorized payment records
- Extensive historical tracking and reporting
- System security
