Richmond Cold Storage's HighJump WMS Implementation Named to List of 100 Great Supply Chain Projects

Supply and Demand Chain ExecutiveSupply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine, the executive's user manual for successful supply and demand chain transformation, this week announced its ninth-annual listing of the Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100, highlighting "100 Great Supply Chain Projects."

Richmond Cold Storage's implementation of the HighJump warehouse management system (WMS) made the list.

About Richmond Cold Storage: The company operates 16 facilities in the Southeast United States, encompassing more than 40,000,000 cubic feet of warehouse space. RCS services many Fortune 500 processors of perishable products.  

Project Business Objective: Consolidate multiple warehouse management systems to a single system centrally hosted that is adaptable to ever changing business processes and reduces total cost of ownership (TCO).

Project Results: HighJump Software’s adaptability and toolset allowed RCS to move to a single application instance centrally hosted that will be used across all facilities. RCS further reduced their TCO by by utilizing HighJump tools to make business logic application changes that mirror unique customer/warehouse specific business processes. Additionally, the project has enabled automation of previously manual processes, leading to greater operational productivity. Managers also have greater visibility and manageability to activities within the warehouse.
